Meet Your Coach – Ayuko

Hi, I’m Ayuko. I’m not a doctor, dietitian, or nutritionist — and I won’t pretend to be. But I’ve lived with severe dietary restrictions due to hereditary autoimmune chronic pancreatitis for decades (until spontaneous remission in April 2024)— and I’ve helped hundreds of people navigate food with joy, not fear.

Yes, I'm Japanese, and I live in Japan. I’ve been cooking since I was 5. Also. I grew up as the only neurotypical person in an autistic and ADHD family of origin. Half of my family now lives in Southern California, and one of our special interests is food.Since 2015, I’ve written over 953 blog posts on how to:

- Build a fridge that takes care of you
- Set up an optimal kitchen for you
- Travel, date, and live with food constraints
- Create a life that suits you
